At PopJoy Baking Co., we bring together time-honored tradition and playful indulgence — from our family’s buttery Hungarian pogácsa to chewy, flavor-packed cookies and other festive treats, every batch is made in our home kitchen with real ingredients, a creative spirit, and just enough nostalgia to keep you coming back for more.
Our Story
PopJoy Baking Co. LLC is a home-based micro bakery with cookies and more made by Lauren Varga, a healthcare PR pro by day who has loved the science of baking since she was a kid. She’s also lucky enough to have a former professional chef for a father-in-law, who loves sharing his authentic Hungarian cooking secrets & NYC restaurant stories.
After years of making countless cupcakes, cakes, cookies and more for her three kids’ various milestones, one of them requested cake pops for a birthday party in June 2025. It was a reminder of the joy bite-sized treats can bring and the catalyst for what is now PopJoy Baking Co.!
